August 1 - August 31, 2014

"Elements" will be a featured art show at the Little Dog Coffee Shop, 87 Maine St, Brunswick during the month of August, 2014. Two artists, Connie Lundquist and Lee Cheever, join their creative forces for a multimedia exhibit. "Elements" is a varied show with both abstract and realistic assemblages, drawings, paintings and low relief sculptures. The elements of art - shape, color, texture, line, space, value, form - are the building blocks and focus of these multimedia artists.

Connie Lundquist, a resident of Brunswick, Maine, is a professional artist who works primarily in assemblage, collage and painting. Her work is complex and enticing. She has showcased her artwork at her Brunswick studio and several exhibitions throughout mid-coast Maine for a number of years.

Lee Cheever of Harpswell is showing a variety of her new work. Her recent show at River Arts Gallery in Damariscotta showcased her sculpture and photography. The Little Dog show will feature compositions in drawings, prints and low relief sculpture. A former art teacher, Cheever approaches her art with an eye to structure and technique.

The Little Dog Coffee Shop is well known as a showcase venue for up and coming artists as well as established professionals. The public is invited to visit the cafe during the month of August, during regular business hours and is welcomed to contact the artists.
